I got to harvest my two sunflowers today! They are so pretty, and I put them in a vase with water, lemon juice (to lower the pH), and sugar (to provide glucose). I also got more collards and one tomato. I also picked all of my beans! I have so many green tomatoes; I hope they are ready next week.

I harvested more collards, one more tomato, one radish, and two HUGE eggplants! I took them home and made eggplant parmesan that night and it was delicious!

We are meeting in the garden first now due to it getting darker earlier now. I planted additional broccoli and cauliflower as well as some lettuce and beats. One of my tomato plants died but one of them has about 11 tomatoes on it! I also have 3 eggplants growing. I even got to harvest my cilantro and collards.

We didn't get to garden today because of the rain but in class we went over how to calculate fertilizer and water requirements. We also learned about broccoli, cabbage, and lettuce. 

These week I planted radishes, cauliflower, and broccoli (my favorite!). I have quite a few tomatoes, my beans grew vines, and my eggplants started to flower. 

I have even more tomatoes now! My plants are looking great! (except for one tomato plant pictured in the middle) Even my cilantro sprung back up! I weeded, watered, sprayed pesticides, and planted two sunflowers!
